I am a field geologist who uses GPS and GIS technologies to understand past sea level changes. In my research, I collaborate with Earth modelers to understand the role of isostatic and tectonic (e.g. dynamic topography) processes that cause post-depositional displacement of the sea level markers observed in the field. I have also a broader interest in the application of new field techniques and GIS analyses to investigate environmental issues, such as habitat mapping or coastal erosion and extreme wave events.
